And obviously, these "things" are essential. What are the "things" God is telling the believer to seek and set their affection on? If you do not know, you are not doing so. Philippians 4:8 is the above passage of holy writ. It is a commandment of the Lord according to 1st Corinthians 14:37, and Paul, our apostle, wrote it. And it most certainly is not hard to read. Crucified, nailed to a cross, all because of me. Cursed of God, hanged on a tree, dying to set me free. Calvary, means to me, more than tongue can tell. For at Calvary, Jesus died, to rescue me from Hell! Dying to set me free…paying my sins for me…cursed, of God, on that tree. Verse 2: Calvary, Calvary means so much to me, for at Calvary, there I see, Christ who died for me. Despised of men, rejected too, condemned and beat upon. Scourged and mocked! Then nailed to that tree, travailing in pain for me. Calvary, means to me, travail beyond compare. And when I think, Jesus died, crucified over there! Crown of thorns he wore…his holy flesh they tore…pain, for me, he bore. Verse 3: Calvary, Calvary means so much to me, for at Calvary, there I see, Christ who died for me. Christ was made, sin for me, upon his soul was poured, The wrath of God, in fury, oh the pain he bore. Calvary, means to me, Jesus took it all. For on his soul, the wrath was poured, the wrath of God for me! Dying my Hell for me…burning there for me…dying, the death, on that tree. Verse 4: Calvary, Calvary means so much to me, for at Calvary, there I see, Christ who died for me. And just to think, who he is, Lord of Heaven and Earth. King of kings, Lord of lords, thank you God for his birth. Calvary, means to me, so much more when known, That the Jesus who died, crucified, truly was the Lord! God the Son in the flesh…the Rock of the wilderness…the Great, I AM, had come. Verse 5: Calvary, Calvary means so much to me, for at Calvary, there I see, Christ who died for me. Now God in grace, has given to me, salvation and life so free. When I repented, and then, trusted in Christ fully. Calvary, means to me, my works would have never been, Enough for sin, to atone, compared to the blood of Christ! But now, I have eternal life…for I believe in Christ…trusting, his blood paid my price. Verse 6: Calvary, Calvary means so much to me, for at Calvary, there I see, Christ who died for me. Now I live, for Christ alone, to me to live is Christ. Serving my King, gladly, for he paid my price. Calvary, means to me, that I fully serve, The Christ who died, crucified, married to him I am! Dead to sin I am…alive unto him I am…lives, through me the Great, I AM! Verse 7: Calvary, Calvary means so much to me, for at Calvary, there I see, Christ who died for me. His love for me, on that cross, is why I love him so. Such great love, for me, demands my life and soul. Calvary, means to me, the ONLY love I’ve known, That always will, love me true, never to let me go! Jesus loves me so…for his Book says so…oh, I love him so. Closing Verse: Calvary, Calvary means so much to me. Jesus Christ, my Lord, means so much to me. That is the melody that would not leave my mind for days until I penned the words of this song to paper while incarcerated in Federal Prison. Amazingly, it only took about 20 minutes for me to furiously write all seven verses down without any need of editing. While the apostle Paul states that we must “sing with the understanding” it is this understanding of Calvary that my heavenly Father has given me about his dear Son from the reading of his GREAT BOOK that constrained me to write this spiritual song. My sincere wish for all who read the words of this song is that you too, would get THE BOOK OF GOD and read it until Calvary means the same to you as it does to God Almighty, the Father of the Great Lord Jesus Christ, who died for you. I love the Lord Jesus Christ sincerely. His death at the cross for my soul means everything to me. I wrote a song entitled, "Calvary Means So Much To Me." I meant every word when I wrote it, and I still mean every word in it. No lie is of the truth, THE BOOK of God says. Christ Jesus did not die on a Friday. To call today GOOD FRIDAY and LIE TO PEOPLE stating that Christ died today is one example of MANY regarding the hypocrisy of that sect and cult called Christianity. The word of God It is a sad testimony and fact today that most people simply do not read. They have no skill when it comes to reading, and that is because reading does not interest them. To prove their complete lack of reading skill, all you have to do is listen to them read. I have found people who do read about earthly stuff that they find interesting. Things that they deem are needed for their minds. But rare it is to find people who read the holy scriptures. To prove just how misunderstood the word "read" is, look at its definition: 1. To utter or pronounce written or printed words, letters or characters in the proper order; to repeat the names or utter the sounds customarily annexed to words, letters or characters; as, to read a written or printed discourse; to read the letters of an alphabet; to read figures; to read the notes of music, or to read music. 2. To inspect and understand words or characters; to peruse silently; as, to read a paper or letter without uttering the words; to read to one's self. Noah Webster 1828 Dictionary-- The first definition of "read" tells us that the printed words are read and uttered with the mouth. The words are pronounced with the mouth.
